Michelle H. Bass spoke at the 26th Annual ABI Central States Bankruptcy Workshop in Traverse City, Michigan on June 15, 2019. The plenary session panel focused on the ethical considerations involved when representing vulnerable clients in bankruptcy proceedings. The panelists discussed the relevant ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct, shared their personal experiences from working on cases involving vulnerable debtors, and offered attendees standards for best practices on when to accept or decline representation of a prospective vulnerable client.
